I have a level 14 Rogue (just dinged last night, thank you very much) and I was wondering what is best for weapons. I have heard some people say they went swords or a combo of sword and dagger. I dunno. I know that after 40 when you get riposte or whatever that move is, it’s good to have a sword because I get it makes riposte proc more? I have no clue. Help me out peoples =D Much thanks in advance!

I’m fond (as a 60 Rogue) of having a dagger in main with a sword in off-hand. Riposte seems to work better with the sword, and you can still do fun backstabby things.
However, I am currently dual-wielding daggers, so my opinion may change. Riposte is the only thing that doesn’t seem to hit as often, but I’m hitting *faster* so it makes up for it.

I’ve heard that to about Riposte. A guildie of mine is doing the same thing. I like daggers, too, because like you said of the *faster* strikes. Swords always seemed like a waste of metal to me, because some of them are so slow.
Have you heard of Rogues using Maces?!?

It really depends on what you talent and your race. Humans get +5 swords. Other than that I suggest going all daggers. Unless you decide you want to go combat. If you talent combat and spend the 5 points in specializing maces, then dual wield maces. Other than that go with the slowest dagger you can find for backstab and ambush crits and go with the biggest dps off-hand you can off-hand weapon doesnt really matter. Sinister strike is the best with a heavy mace if you do spec maces.

Maces are only good if you talent it in the combat talent tree. You’ll stun left and right when you use Slice and Dice.

Well I play horde as a Blood Elf on my Rogue. So the +5 Swords goes right out the window. I’m still low lvl so I have a lot of time to figure things out. I just wanted other’s input on it =D Thanks!
