A guildie of mine is doing the same thing. I like daggers, too, because like you said of the *faster* strikes. Swords always seemed like a waste of metal to me, because some of them are so slow. Humans get +5 swords. Other than that I suggest going all daggers. Unless you decide you want to go combat. If you talent combat and spend the 5 points in specializing maces, then dual wield maces. Other than that go with the slowest dagger you can find for backstab and ambush crits and go with the biggest dps off-hand you can off-hand weapon doesnt really matter.
