It’s effing cold up here in North Carolina. We left yesterday afternoon from Florida to come up there for Rob’s business trip. Violet and I decided to come along for the ride. Took us about 9 hours, but all in all, it wasn’t a bad trip.

Anyway, I posted a couple of things on the WoW Forums looking for some writers for both my sites. I got a mailbox full of people that responded; I honestly didn’t expect that many people to be interested. I got some negative feedback but the positive feedback and support was enough to overcome it *smiles* So, within the next week I am going to be a very busy girl (and by that I mean I’m going to working my husband to the bone with this site haha, just kidding *winks).

I am going to find a way to make it so that all my writers can have their own log in to the site to be able to submit their writing on their own instead of them emailing it to me and posting it myself. Also, I’ll be installing more themes so that my writers can have their own blogs on the site to use as they wish. Their actual articles and such will placed on the main news page. *cracks knuckles* It’s gonna be a jam-packed week for me *giggles* I’m a little worried that this won’t work out like I planned or that something will go wrong. But I’m sure that with some great writers and with the help of my handy-dandy hubby, all will be fine *smiles*

As for WoW, I haven’t played in a few days due to getting ready for the trip and such. I had planned on raiding one night last week, but I was sick and stuck in and missed it *cries* What crap. I’ve still got 8 Large Prismatics to farm for *sigh*

Hey gals (and guys)! We are currently working on making a new theme work with the site. I like it quite a bit, but there are some "quirks" that I need to work out so please bear with us and we’ll get it looking shiny in no time! Thanks to the help of my handy hubby, it will go a lot quicker than it would if it was just me working on it, I assure you lol. If you have any idea’s of what you’d like to see on the page, please feel free to email me with any comments, questions or whatever you can think of

All of the WoW gold ads on the WoWChix.com blog have been removed, hurrah.  We did not put those ads up ourselves. We where using the Google adsense service, no matter how many times we added the gold sellers to our banned advertisers list more of them would show up.  So please feel free to check out our new advertisers, I’m sure we’ll have specials and coupons from them soon!!

We are currently working with adsense to get rid of as many of the gold selling ads as possible.  It might take a little longer then we’d like and should have done it sooner, but they will go away soon.

So the forums are up and running. I am going to start posting some guides in there that might be helpful to anyone in the WoW community. I have always like forums, mainly for communication purposes. But also to be able to help other people with problems or obstacles in game. On my guild’s forums we have a section for each class in the game. That way if you have questions about your talent build or anything else, you can post a question there and get an answer back. I might implement something like that onto these forums, I’m not quite sure yet. Keep in mind, this has just started out, so there are a lot of things that need to be done and added still.

I am also going to have a gallery where you are able to upload screen shots and such to share with one another. I always found it a pain in the ass having to put screenies up on another site in order to be able to post them on a forum somewhere. This way, if you have a screenie you wish you to share you can upload it to our gallery and link directly to it.

WoW Chix is officially a web page! Woot! It was an idea I have had for a while now and I just needed to find the time to put my thoughts into reality. So finally here it is! This site isn’t only for girls who play World of Warcraft. It’s for any girl that plays any game! Be proud to be a girl gamer!! I sure as hell am!

In my opinion I think that in the gamer world, most people expect 99% of gamers to be guys. That completely isn’t true. If you go to any convention revolving around the gaming community you will see that almost half of the gamers there are female. It’s kind of hard being a girl in the gamer world because the males always think that because you are a girl, you can’t be near as good as them. I have seen girls kick some major ass in Counter Strike, Halo and even World of Warcraft. I remember when I was first started playing WoW, all these guys I was hanging out with got all ticked off cause I was out leveling them and getting better gear and over all just getting ahead of them. They thought a girl playing WoW was out of place, they thought I would stop playing at some point… oh they were so wrong!

It’s been 3 years and I’m still playing ^_^ I have many high level toons and countless alts. It’s something I enjoy. I’m a fan of console gaming as well, but WoW is something that has really taken my interest. It’s something I have invested a lot of my time in and I’m proud of my accomplishments.

I love playing along with my husband. He plays a Priest (Needlles) alongside of my Mage (Thread). In my opinion that is one of the best duo’s to work with. You get the damage of AoE and the healing of a Priest, PLUS he’s a Shadow Priest, so we get added damage. At the moment I am 65 and he is 64. We are getting there, slowly but surely.

Anywho gals, that about wraps it up for my first post. More than likely, I will be on in a few minutes to make another post haha. I’m so excited about finally getting the site up and running!! /cheer
